But guys you will get surprised that we can make Powdered Sugar at home. So, here is the recipe for Homemade Powdered Sugar. It is also known as Tagar/Boora. We can also store it in a tight container for a long period of time and can use it in any Sweets. Friends, you won't believe that I use Boora (Tagar) Sugar in place of normal Sugar in Sweet dishes, because it makes the recipe tastier. If you also want your Sweets like Halwai then use this Sugar. What is Tagar/Boora Sugar...?
- Tagar or Boora Sugar is a porous Sugar which is made by melting sugar in water to reach a state of crystallization. This is how sugar loses it's moisture and also it get's clean. Halwai used this Tagar for amking all Sweets so they are delicuios.
- Boora is nothing but Sugar. I would like to suggest you that always use Boora or Tagar in making Ladoos or any Sweets, this is the secret behind good sweet of Halwai. Also, this is good for health. Hope you guys will also make it...

PROCESS :
- Heat up the Kadai, add Sugar and Water.
- Cook the solution by stirring with the spatula for 2 to 3 minute.
- Heat the sugar syrup for next 5 mins. This will become a thick and transparent syrup.
- Take one drop of syrup on any dish to check whether it is thickening or not. You will also see some amount of crystallizing sugar sticking around the sides of the Kadai.
- Now at this stage, add 1tbsp ghee to the mixture.(To avoid the lump formation).
- Turn off the gas. Let it cool down and stir it continuously so that a big lumps could not form. It will turn into porous Powder Sugar.
- By using hands or any flat bowl/glass you can break the crystals of Sugar. It can also be stored for a long period of time.
- Note : If you think that sugar is impure, you can remove impurities by adding 1 teaspoon of milk or Lemon to the boiling mixture. You will notice hat scum is floating above the mixture. Clear it by the help of spatula.
Uses Of Tagar ?
- You can use this homemade Tagar in any Sweet Dishes. This is also good for health, also daily you can use this Sugar.
