- Firstly, SMOOTH GOURD belongs to GOURD Family...It also contains Bottle Gourd (Lauki),Bitter Gourd (Karela),Sponge Gourd (Gilke,तुरई),Ridge Gourd(Dodke),Pointed Gourd (),Snake Gourd(Kheera), Ash Gourd,Ivy Gourd (Tondli),Spine Gourd ,Apple Gourd and Cucumber etc..
- You can eat each of this Gourds Raw !!!!...few of them are mostly eaten raw as it is such as Cucumber...You can eat them after cooking also...
- They are good source of Nutrients,Carbs and Vitamins...
INGREDIENTS :
- 3-4 Smooth Gourd/Gilke
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 3 Chopped Green Chillies
- 7-8 Garlic Cloves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Asafoetida
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds ( Optional )
- 8 tbsp Peanut Powder
- Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- oil

Procedure
- Firstly , Take Smooth Gourd/Gilke , Green Chillies , Garlic Cloves , Ginger , Cumin Seeds and Salt. Grind this all in blender and make a paste.
- Now heat up a Oil in Kadai , add Cumin seeds and saute it.
- Add Chopped Onions and saute for 2 mins.
- Add seasame Seeds saute it well.
- Add Turmeric Powder , Coriander Powder and saute it well.
- Now add prepared Smooth Gourd/ Gilke Paste and mix well.
- Let it cook for 10 mins.
- Here Our Gilkyacha Bharit is ready.😋👍

- Serve Hot with Chapati or Bhakri.
- Gilkyacha Bharit is very Tast and easy to make.
