Hii Guys, Its Lockdown 5.0: Day 94, OKRA.Bhindi...When we think of bhindi we think what is so difficult in this it's just a Bhindi. Masala Bhindi or Kurkuri Bhindi..But you won't believe many people actually don't make it...for many people, it is not an easy task...I can guarantee you...after reading this Blog...it will not be a big deal, also not a Rocket Science you can easily make it at Home.......Today's dish is Kurkuri Bhindi with Some Unique Twist...Let's Gets Started👍👍.....
Intresting fact about Okra (Bhindi)?
- Bhindi (Okra) is not originated in india it was first originated in Ethiopia,Africa....So it is from Africa I know it is so strage.
- It was brought in Asia through the Traders and Slaves an all. Later it is adapted by indian culture...Approximately bhindi is 1000 years old for us. This is the reason why we think it is indian Vegitable.
- Their are many type of bhindi and their is a type of bhindi which is Specially grown for Okra Plant Leafs becouse it is so tasty. Then their is Type called Red Bhindi
- And Okra is Called as Lady Finger Because it is very much like a lady's delicate finger
- Did you know that at some places if bhindi outgrows, people make paper or strings using it !!!!
Ingredients
- 250 gms Lady Finger/Okra/ भिंडी
- Salt to taste
- ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp Cumin Powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- ¼ Cup Gram Flour
- 2 tbsp Rice Flour
- Oil For Frying

Procedure
For Kurkuri Bhendi :
- Wash the bhindi completely and wipe them dry with paper towel.
- Slice them into one by 4 vertically .Remove all the seeds as much as possible.
- Sprinkle Red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt on bhindi one by one.
- Mix the bhindi well with these masalas. Sprinkle Gram flour and Rice flour on top of the bhindi and make sure the bhindi is well coated.
- Marinate the bhindi with this spice mix for an hour.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadhai to deep-fry the bhindi.
- Fry the bhindi till crispy and golden brown.
- Drain the excess oil on an absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot.
- You can eat as it is.
- NOTE : Secret for Kurkuri/Crispy Bhindi is "Rice Flour"
Ingredients for Special/Unique Tadka
- Prepared Fried/ Crispy/Kurkuri Bhindi
- 2 Green chillies
- ½ tsp Asafoetida(Hing)
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- ½ tsp Red Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp Coriander Powder
- ½ tsp Cumin powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric powder
- 4 tbsp Peanut powder
- Salt to taste
Procedure for Tadka
For Tadka :
- Take a Kadai add Cumin seeds , Mustard seeds,Asafoetida(Hing) and saute well.I used the same oil.
- Add Green Chillies saute it.
- Now add Red chilli Powder,Turmeric Powder,Coriander Powder.Mix well
- Then add Prepared Kurkuri Bhindi / Crispy/Fried bhindi and mix it.
- Lastly, add Peanut Powder(Which is My Secret ingredient😊) mix it for 5 mins.
- Our Super Crispy/Kurkuri/Karari Bhindi with Unique Tadka is ready to Serve…
How to Serve ?
- Serve with Chapati or Roti or eat as it is..
- Its really Crispy and Delicious….😊
- Kurkuri Bhindi can be served as is or even with a bowl of curd and some rotis / Chapati on side
