Which is made especially on Makar Sankrant in everyone's house. As, everyone likes this Ladoos beacause it's healthy for our body especially in winter. History Of Til Gul Ladoo...?
- Til Gul is a colourful Sesame candy coated with Sesame seeds; in Maharashtra people exchange tilgul on Sankranti, a Hindu Festival celebrated on 14 January, which continue till Rathsaptami, till 7 days.
- Due to Sesame and Jageery, this Ladoo or Candy is healthy for human body during winter season. That's why this Ladoo/Candy exchange festival is in winter.
- The sweet is a mixture of Sesame Seeds (called "Til" in Marathi) and Jaggery (called "Gul" in Marathi) and hence the name. On Sankranti eve, families serve their guests with Tilgul, Til Ladoo while saying "Tilgul ghya, goad goad bola" which literally means "Take Tilgul and talk sweetly". In this way Hindu Festival is celebrated.
INGREDIENTS :
- 3/4 Cup Gavran Sesame Seeds
- 1/2 Cup Gudh/Jaggery
- 1/4 Cup Roasted Peanut Powder
- 1 tbsp Milk/Water
- 1 tbsp Ghee

METHOD :
- Heat up a pan/kadai on medium heat.
- Add Gavran Sesame Seeds and roast on medium heat for about 7-8 minutes until it turns golden color.
- Do not roast the Sesame Seeds on high heat. Remove it in a plate and let it cool.
- Heat up the same kadai/pan on medium heat.
- Add ghee and jaggery/gudh. You can chop or grate gudh if you want.
- Cook on medium heat for about 3-4 minutes until it is melted properly.
- Add milk/water and mix well.
- Cook the syrup for about 2-3 minutes more after adding water/milk.
- Turn off the gas.
- Add roasted Sesame Seeds and Roasted Peanut Powder.
- Mix everything well quickly.
- Rub ghee/water to your hands.
- Take a spoonful mixture in a spoon and transfer it into other spoon.
- Roll the mixture into round shape while transferring the mixture from one spoon to other.
- When the hot steam is escaped and the mixture is a little cold, transfer the mixture in hand and roll the ladoo.
- You have to do this process when the mixture is still hot.
- Here our Tilache Ladoos are ready. ЁЯШЛ
- Tips: If you want to use chikkicha gudh then use 1/4 cup chikkicha gudh and 1/4 cup regular gudh. You also can use 1/2 cup chikkicha gudh.
- Milk gives nice binding to ladoo. If you are using regular gudh then milk helps in binding the ladoo.
- You can use White Polish Sesame Seeds instead og Gavran Sesame Seeds, but Gavran Sesame Seeds is best for making ladoos.
