History of Daal...?
- In India the word daal is commonly used for lentils, as there are many variaties of dal. One of is Fried Chana Dal, which is a North Indian cuisine that is super delicious and liked by people of all ages. This easy-to-make snack recipe is prepared using ingredients like chana dal, turmeric powder, chilli powder and chaat masala that will surely melt your heart. You can serve this dish to your guest on occasions like a kitty party, game night. This North Indian Namkeen recipe can be prepared within a few minutes and anyone can make this recipe, it's really very tasty chakna recipe do try it and enjoy the evening...
INGREDIENTS :
- 2 cups Channa Dal
- 2tsp Baking Soda
- 1lt Water
- Napkin for drying
- Oil
For Masala :
- ¾ tsp Hing
- ¾ tsp Salt
- ¾ tsp Black salt
- 1tbsp Amachur Powder
- 1tsp Chilli Powder
- 1tsp Coriander Powder
Procedure Video...
PROCESS :
- Firstly, Wash the Chana Dal and soak the Chana dal for at least 4hours(overnight soaking preferred)in 1lt of water along with baking soda and salt.
- Next Morning, Discard all the water and spread the chana dal on a kitchen towel dab to remove any excess moisture from the dal. You can also place the dal under a fan or in Sunlight for 15-20 mins to dry off the surface moisture.
- Here our dal is ready to fry, heat oil in a deep vessel and fry the Chana dal on medium heat, increase the heat after a few minutes to cook them completely.
- Fry the Dal as shown in the video, by using this strainer work gets very simple no harm from oil.
- Here our Chana Dal is ready, remove the chana dal from the oil using a strainer and place it in a bowl.
- For the masala mix all the ingredients together and keep aside (You can use any masala of your choice).
- So, while the Dal is still hot sprinkle the masala and toss them together. Once it cools down completely serve it...
How to Serve ?
- Sprinkle the masala and Serve our fried Chana Dal, It's too ymmmyyy... try this snack and enjoy the evening.
