But guys don't worry today here is the recipe for Fried Moong Dal which is crunchy, crispy, tasty Evening or Diwali snacks and this is easy to cook, anyone can make it. We can have it anytime as chakna and can serve to the guest on occasions like a kitty party, game night, etc. We can also store this snack for a long time. History of Daal...?

  • In India the word daal is commonly used for lentils, as there are many variaties of dal. One of is Fried Moong Dal, which is a North Indian cuisine that is super delicious and liked by people of all ages. This easy-to-make snack recipe is prepared using ingredients like Moong dal, turmeric powder, chilli powder and chaat masala that will surely melt your heart. You can serve this dish to your guest on occasions like a kitty party, game night. This North Indian Namkeen recipe can be prepared within a few minutes and anyone can make this recipe, it's really very tasty chakna recipe do try it and enjoy the evening...

INGREDIENTS :

  • 2 cups Moong Dal
  • 1lt Water
  • Napkin for drying
  • Oil

For Masala :

  • ¾ tsp Hing
  • ¾ tsp Salt
  • ¾ tsp Black salt
  • 1tbsp Amachur Powder
  • 1tsp Chilli Powder
  • 1tsp Coriander Powder

PROCESS :

  • Firstly, Wash the Moong Dal and soak the Moong dal for at least 4hours(overnight soaking preferred)in 1lt of water.
  • Next Morning, Discard all the water and spread the Moong dal on a kitchen towel dab to remove any excess moisture from the dal. You can also place the dal under a fan or in Sunlight for 15-20 mins to dry off the surface moisture.
  • Here our Moong dal is ready to fry, heat up the oil in a Kadai and fry the Moong dal on medium heat, increase the heat after a few minutes to cook them completely.
  • Fry the Dal as shown in the video, by using this strainer work gets very simple no harm from oil.
  • Here our Moong Dal is ready, remove the Moong dal from the oil using a strainer and place it in a bowl.
  • For the masala mix all the ingredients together and keep aside (You can use any masala of your choice).
  • So, while the Dal is still hot sprinkle the masala and toss them together. Once it cools down completely serve it. Here I have use only Salt.



How to Serve ?

  • Sprinkle the Salt and Serve our fried Moong Dal, It's too ymmmyyy... try this snack and enjoy the evening.
