Traditionally, Menemen is eating at breakfast but it also serves well as an afternoon or evening meal. However, like any traditional dish, it comes in different shapes and forms. Menemen is a traditional Turkish dish that includes eggs, tomato, green peppers, and spices such as ground black and red pepper cooked in olive oil or sunflower oil. History Of Menemen...?
- Menemen is a Traditional Turkish dish which includes eggs, tomato, green peppers, and spices such as ground black and red pepper cooked in olive oil or sunflower oil... Menemen is commonly eaten for breakfast and served with bread. It's name originates from a small town in Izmir Province...
- Some Turkish cooks like Saniye Anne insist that a proper Menemen can not be made without onions. In 2018, Turkish food critic Vedat Milor launched a Twitter poll to resolve the discussion about onion within Menemen.
- Some variations may include mushrooms or minced lamb. Different spices may be added according to taste including cumin, paprika, mint and thyme. This Menemen Breakfast very healthy, must try...
INGREDIENTS :
- 5-6 Gavran Eggs
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 1 Chopped Tomatoes
- 1 Chopped Capsicum
- 2-3 Chopped Green Chilies
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 tbsp Tomato Sauce
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- Salt as per taste
- Oil
Procedure Video...
METHOD :
- Heat up oil in a Pan, add Cumin Seeds. Saute it well for 1 min.
- Add Chopped Onions and saute well.
- Add Capsicum, mix well.
- Add Chopped Tomatoes and mix well.
- Keep the lid and cook for 5 mins.
- Add all spices Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder and Black Pepper Powder. Mix all the masalas properly.
- Add Tomato Sauce and cook for 1 min.
- Now take Gavran Eggs and add it one by one. You can increase the quantity of eggs. Here I have used Gavran Eggs, you can take regular also. But Gavran are best in taste.
- Spread the eggs gently, don’t mix it very fast.
- Keep the lid and cook for 10 mins.
- Turn off the gas.
- Here our Menemen is ready to serve.ЁЯШЛ

- Serve Hot with Chapati, Bhakri or Bread…
