RASSA/TARRI POHE...?
- Tarri Poha is a speciality of Vidarbha region in Maharashtra, This is Nagpur special street food...
- Pohe are served with thin gravy which is a watery, very spicy preparation of desi chana that's served liberally with "kanda poha" and garnished with onions, tomatoes,coriander leaves and sev that is spicy and hot...
- That's why RASSA POHE is Best option for Breakfast...
INGREDIENTS :
For Poha :
- 200 gms Pressed Rice (Poha), thick variety
- Raw Peanuts
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tbsp Asafoetida (hing)
- 3 Chopped Green Chillies
- 1 Chopped Medium Size Potato
- 1 Chopped Onion
- 3-4 Curry Leaves
- 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- 1 tsp Sugar ( optional )
- Salt to Taste
Method :
For Poha :
- Wash the Poha in a colander. Poha should be moist but not mashed.
- Heat oil in a Kadai / Pan. Add Cumin Seeds ,Mustard Seeds,Asafoetida and when they splutter ,add Green Chillies, Curry Leaves and Peanuts.
- Saute for half a minute and add Onions and Potato, continue to sauté.
- Add salt, Turmeric Powder and mix. Sauté for two minutes and add poha.
- Mix and cook till poha is heated through. Add lemon juice and mix lightly.
- Garnish with Coriander Leaves and serve hot.😋
INGREDIENTS :
For Rassa/Tarri :
- 1 Cup Chana / Chick Peas (boiled)
- 3 tbsp Khade Masala Paste
- 2-3 Curry Leaves
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1tbsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
- Water
- 4 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
Procedure Video...
Method :
For Rassa :
- Heat up Oil in Pan/Kadai , add Khade Masala Paste and saute it for 5 mins.
- Add Red Chilli Powder,Turmeric Powder,Coriander Powder and Garam Masala. Saute it well.
- Now add Boiled Cheakpeas mix well.Add Water as per quantity.
- Add Salt as per taste and Cook for 10-15 mins.
- Add Fresh Coriander and turn off the flame.
- So, here our HOT,SPICY TARRI / RASSA is ready.😋
How to Serve ?
- Take a plate and serve POHE in it.
- Serve Hot RASSA on POHE…garnish with some sev , lemon, coriander leaves.
- RASSA / TARRI POHE are ready to eat...😋
- RASSA POHE is very tasty and best option for breakfast.
