History Of Spinach Bhaji...?
- An everyday dish prepared using Spinach (Palak) and gram flour (besan) from the state of Maharashtra – Palak Chi Patal Bhaji (Spinach leaves vegetable side).
- Spinach is an excellent source of not only iron, but also calcium, potassium in addition to Vitamins B, A, K, E and C. A very good source of protein, fiber, also a good source of omega-3. Now that’s a lot of reasons to include it in your regular diet.
- Traditionally, this is quick to prepare Palak Chi Patal Bhaji is served with bhakri (bajra/jowar flatbread). Can also be served with regular roti.
INGREDIENTS :
- Spinach Leaves
- 1 inch Ginger
- 4-8 Garlic Cloves
- 3-4 Green Chillies
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 tbsp Asafoetida
- 1/2 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1/2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 4 tbsp Peanut Powder
- Fresh Coriander Leaves
- Salt to taste
- Water
- Oil
Procedure Video...
METHOD :
- Firstly, wash the Spinach Leaves. Heat the water in a kadai, add one drop of oil in it. When the water get's boiled add Spinach Leaves and give a stir.
- Let the Spinach cooked for 5 mins. After 5 mins Remove it in a bowl and keep aside. Don't throw the water of boiled Spinach.
- Now Heat up oil in kadai, add Cumin, Mustard Seeds and Asafoetida. Saute it well.
- Add Green Chillies, Garlic and Ginger crushed ( in khalbatta ). Saute it well for a min.
- Add Peanut Powder and mix well.
- Add all spices Red Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder and Coriander Powder. Mix all the spices well.
- Now add boiled Spinach with water and mix well.
- Add salt and mix it well.
- Add Coriander Leaves. Keep the lid and cook for 5-10 mins
- Turn of the gas and here our झणझणीत Palak Chi Bhaji/batta is ready...😋
How to Serve ?
- Serve hot with Chapati, Bhakri or Rice.😋
- This झणझणीत Palak Chi Bhaji is very awesome with Bhakri, try it with Bhakri.
- The recipe is very simple and only in 15 mins your meal is ready.🙂
