Culturality Of Mint / Pudina Paratha
- It is Basically a Punjabi Breakfast Options. It is a unique mint paratha recipe made with minimum of ingredients and is super easy.
- we know it today goes back to somewhere in the early medieval period when Indian stuffed paratha inventedd, well before the 12th century CE in fact.First paratha when invented was Sweet.
- It is easiest recipes to cook. They are wholesome and can be had it as it is without any side dish. And they can be stored for a longer period of time. Pudina is healthy and is easily available. Here’s a recipe of easy Pudina Paratha.
- Mint was used throughout history to treat stomach and digestion problems and to freshen breath. The dried leaves were used to whiten teeth and as a pest repellent.
Ingredients
- Mint Leaves / Pudina
- Wheat Flour - 2 cups
- 4 tbsp Gram Flour
- ½ tbsp Carom Seeds
- 1/2tbsp Jeera
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tbsp
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 tbsp Green Chilli Paste
- 1 tbsp Ginger/Garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds
- Coriander Leaves
- Salt as per taste
- Water

Procedure
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, take Chopped Mint leaves,wheat flour,Gram flour, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds, ajwain,seasame seeds , Turmeric Powder ,coriander powder,ginger garlic paste,green chilli paste and Coriander leaves.
- Gradually add water and mix the dough
- Knead the dough for 10 minutes till it becomes soft.
- Now apply some oil on top of the dough and rest it for about 30 minutes
- After 30 minutes, roll the dough pieces to flat parathas
- Heat a tawa on medium flame and place the paratha on the tawa
- Cook it evenly from both sides
- Now apply some ghee /oil on both sides to add extra flavor and to keep the parathas soft.
- Your easy and delicious Pudina Parathas are ready to be served.
- You can either have it as it is or with a curd, pudina chutney, pickle or any gravy or raita of your choice.
