So, here is the special Independence Day new recipe that is Tiranga Peda... Tiranga Coconut Milk Peda is very delicious and looks very tempting. History Of Independence Day...?

  • Independence Day is celebrated annually on 15 August as a national holiday in India commemorating the nation's independence from the United Kingdom on 15 August 1947. As, the old halwai in Varanasi, reminisced with misty eyes about the heady times when it was “bliss to be young in that dawn.
  • “The government could censor newspapers and it wasn’t easy to plaster walls with posters. This is when we created sweets that served as slogans. Tirangi Barfi on display substituted for the tricolour flag beloved of the revolutionaries and followers of Gandhi. It continues to be made on Independence Day and Republic Day. That was the time when artificial colours and flavours were taboo. In this way whole India started to make sweets in Tri Colour and celebrated the Day. Today everyone makes different types of Sweets on this day and enjoying the day...

Ingredients of Recipe




Ingredients :

  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cups Milk Powder
  • 1 Cup Grated Cococnut
  • 1/2 Cup Powder Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1 tbsp Kewra Water(Optional)
  • Orange Food Colour
  • Green Food Colour
  • Pista For Garnishing

Procedure

  • Heat up the pan, add Ghee and Milk. Mix it well.
  • Now add Milk Powder, Powder Sugar and Grated Coconut/ Coconut Powder. Mix this all properly and stir it continueosly.
  • When the mixture starts to get thick add Cardamom Powder and Kewra Water(Optional). Mix it well and cook for a min.
  • Here our Pedas Mixture is ready, now remove the mixture in a plate.
  • Cool the mixture and divide into 3 portions.
  • Now Add Orange colour in one portion and mix the Peda mixture properly.
  • Add Green Colour in second poertion and mix the mixture properly.
  • Last White portion keep as it is.
  • Now take small portions of all three mixture and start to make small Peda like ball as shown in video, you can give any shape to Peda.
  • All Tiranga Pedas are ready, garnish with some Pista or keep as it is.
