Todays dish is known to all of us "Sabudana Khichidi"...This dish is the dish which comes in mind when we think of fasts/उपवास. Every one loves this dish so we will make this dish in Maharastrian Style...Lets Gets Started...
Why We Celebrate Shravan Somewar.. ?
- According to Hindu Mythology, Sharvan Maas (Month) is Favorite Month of Lord Mahadev.Because of this Hindus Worship Lord Shiva with Fasts and Puja's
- But why this Month is Favorite of Lord Mahadev, reason is On this month Devi Sati in her 2nd Live in the form of Parvati had done Nirjal Upwas (Nirjala fast) for Mahadev.
- For her Worships, Lord Mahadev got Married to Devi Parvati...
Ingrediants
- 1 cup Sabudana / Sago seeds
- 1 tbsp Oil / Ghee
- 2-3 finely chopped Green chillies
- Roasted Peanut powder
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of Sugar (Optional)
- ½ tbsp Ginger paste (optional)
Step 1
- Wash the sabudana 3-4 time well with running water.
- Soak the sabudana in water for Overnight.
Step 2
- Take Bowl Add Soaked Sabudana, Peanut Powder and Salt.Mix it well and keep it aside.
Step 4
- Add Chopped Potatoes. Saute it and cooked for 10 mins till Potatoes get soft.
Step 6
- Add Mixture of Soaked Sabudana , Roasted Peanut Powder , Salt and Sugar and Mix it well.
Tip 1
- In the morning if you find the sabudana dry, stir it with spoon or fork and add 2-3 tbsp water.
Tip 2
- You can add lemon juice or Curd while making sabudana if you like. It gives Sourness and Sweetness in taste.
